University Project: Business Process Optimization Project – Zaakwow Convection
As part of a university immersion project, I and my team worked with Zaakwow, a local convection company, to observe and analyze their operational workflow, particularly in relation to inventory management and production cost tracking.
During the observation, we found that most operational processes were still conducted manually, including documentation and the tracking of raw materials. Materials stored in the warehouse were often taken directly by workers for production without any formal recording system. As a result, the company faced difficulties in accurately monitoring material usage and calculating the Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), especially from the raw material perspective.
Based on this analysis, our team proposed the implementation of an ERP-based inventory management system, specifically MOCA ERP, to help streamline business processes. The system would allow the company to track material inflows and outflows in real time, improve inventory visibility, and support more accurate COGS calculation, ultimately enabling better operational efficiency and decision-making.
